Who sells

What is sold

The Non Stop Pass unlocks ChimpDeck by switching off the free tier’s Play Cooldown (2 hours of real play, then a 4-hour cooldown; the clock only runs while the controller is in use). The Android app and the Windows client are free and are not sold.

• Non Stop Pass, forever — €39.99 plus tax. Does not expire.

Prices and VAT

Prices are shown WITHOUT tax. Whatever VAT applies is worked out from your country and the kind of buyer you are, and added before you are charged: the breakdown — net, tax and total — appears on screen before you confirm the payment, and that is what you pay.

If you are buying for a company, tick the box on the form and give us its registered name, VAT or tax number and address: without those, the invoice is of no use to you for reclaiming anything.

The invoice reaches you by email as soon as it is issued, with the PDF attached, and it is registered with the Spanish Tax Agency through Veri*Factu. It is issued by us, not by the payment gateway. If it has not arrived, ask us through the contact form, quoting the email you bought with.

Which tax applies depends on where you are, which is why we ask for your country. From mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, and from the rest of the European Union, Spanish VAT at 21%. A company in another EU country with a valid VAT number — we check it against the European Commission’s VIES register — is not charged VAT: the reverse charge applies and you account for the tax. Outside the European Union the sale is not subject to Spanish VAT and nothing is charged either.

And one Spanish case worth spelling out: the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla are NOT charged VAT, because they sit outside the territory where Spanish VAT applies. They share a country code with the rest of Spain, so the only way to tell is the post code — which is why we ask for it when you buy from Spain, even as an individual.

How payment works

Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on their checkout and never pass through our servers: we do not see, do not store, and could not store your card number.

What you get, and when

On completing payment you receive a twelve-word phrase. That phrase is your licence: it appears on screen when the purchase finishes and is also emailed to the address you gave. Delivery is immediate.

Save it, but do not give it up for lost if you misplace it: we keep it encrypted, with a key that does not live in the database, precisely so we can resend it to the email you bought with. A theft of the database yields no usable licence, because without that key the phrases cannot be read.

One pass, one computer

Each Pass enables one computer at a time. You can move it to another whenever you like by activating it there; the previous one stops being enabled. There is no limit on how many times.

Renewing the 30-day pass

The 30-day pass is NOT a subscription and does not renew itself. When you buy it, your card is stored with Stripe solely so that you can buy again in one tap.

When the pass runs out, the app asks whether you want another month. You are only charged if you accept. Nothing is ever charged automatically and there is nothing to cancel: if you do nothing, the pass simply ends.

⚠️ Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have fourteen calendar days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving reasons. However, for digital content delivered immediately that right is lost once delivery has begun, provided you expressly requested it and acknowledge losing it.

By completing the purchase you request immediate delivery of your licence and accept that, on receiving it, you lose the right of withdrawal. Agreeing is required in order to buy: without it, delivery would have to wait until the fourteen days had passed, which is not what anyone wants.

If you would rather keep the fourteen days, write to us before buying and we will arrange it.

Refunds

Even though withdrawal lapses on delivery, if the product does not work on your setup and we cannot get it working, we refund you. Write to us through the form explaining what happens, and we will look into it.

Before buying, check the requirements on the specifications page: a device running Android 8.0 or later (with USB OTG if you want to lend a USB controller) and a Windows 10 or 11 PC; for streaming with ChimpDeck for Windows, the PC needs an NVIDIA graphics card. The free tier exists precisely so you can prove it works in your home before paying.

What “forever” means

The forever pass does not expire and never needs renewing. What we cannot promise is that the product will exist indefinitely: if we ever stopped developing it, we would say so in advance, publish a way for licences to keep working without depending on us, and release the source code of the app, the host and its drivers as open source, so the community could keep them alive.

We spell this out because “forever” is often used without explaining what it covers, and we would rather you knew exactly what you are buying.

Legal guarantee and liability

The legal guarantee of conformity under consumer law applies. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

ChimpDeck brings your PC’s picture, sound and controls to your Android device, over your network or the internet. We are not liable for failures outside the product — your network, your pad, your computer or the game you use — nor for the performance you get, which depends on your setup, and that is why the app measures and shows it instead of promising a figure.

Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

Before going anywhere else, write to us: almost everything is settled that way. You can also use the European Commission online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Changes to these terms

If they change, the new version is published with its date. Changes do not affect purchases already made: your Pass is covered by the terms published on the day you bought it.
